Hi all, so I planned to treat myself to a new Weber kettle for Christmas (my old one must be approaching 20 yrs now as was a hand me down from my Grandpa) but to my shock the local BBQ stop has stopped stocking Weber (although I can get them from another store) and now stocks Napoleon kettles.
What are peoples opinion of the Napoleon kettles, are they good quality, how do they compare to the Weber?
I am reluctant to change brands as I am very comfortable with my Weber but I am open to change if it is for the best, I look forward to hearing from you all.
I can't speak for Napoleon. Weber kettles are proven to last and their build quality is very consistent. The number of accessories and modifications available are seemingly endless. Add in a price-point that is very competitive - there's a reason Weber has sold so many of these things. Regarding your question...I'm biased, obviously. I will say that when making your decision keep in mind Weber's excellent customer service, the sheer volume of accessories available and the fact that replacement parts are easy to find and are inexpensive.
I have a Napolean gasser, the Rogue. The company has been around awhile & makes excellent products. They don’t make anything as of date in China, all as they say, North American (our good neighbor to the north of us). Max has gone over at least two of their products I think. With that said I know nothing of their kettles but, have seen them starting to pop up in places. Either Max or someone else will have to weigh in on this. It has caught my eye though. Just wonderin.
Just checked, Max gives it an AR Gold Medal rating. Check it out for yourself.

Weber Summit Kamado with SnS and Vortex.. Broil King Baron, Primo Oval Junior. Primo XL. Love grilling steaks, ribs, and chicken. Need to master smoked salmon. Absolutely love anything to do with baking bread. Favorite cool weather beer: Sam Adams Octoberfest Favorite warm weather beer: Yuengling Traditional Lager. All-time favorite drink: Single Malt Scotch
I have the Napoleon 22" kettle with the cast iron grate and three cooking levels. The Napoleon is made out of better materials in places, but I much prefer a standard Weber One Touch Premium. Weber has better airflow control and easier ash removal.
Slow 'N Sear does fit in the Napoleon though so if you really want one go for it!

The Napoleon looks like a nice grill. But Weber created the kettle design Napoleon is trying to emulate. So, at the same price, I would go with the Weber.
