This sells for $15 on Amazon. 22" seems like the perfect size for my 26.75" Weber. I would need to cut it and bend it to create a lip on the cut edge. I would then wrap it in foil and set it on the charcoal grate. The drip and griddle is nice, but I have an Arteflame, and many cast iron pans so I'm not interested in another griddle option.

Thinking of making a drip pan for Weber from a pizza pan.

Current line-up of cookers: Oklahoma Joe's Bronco Pro, Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050, Blackstone ProSeries 4 Burner 36" griddle, Weber Performer Deluxe and Weber Smokey Joe.
Heavy duty foil does the trick for me. That, and I will go to Dollar General and pick up a cheap ($1) disposable aluminum pan if I expect an excessive amount of dripping. Quick, cheap and easy cleanup.

I think the Drip and Griddle is superior, especially when using with the SnS because it also functions as a baffle for the kettle. Not a trivial design option, by any means. The fact that it also acts as a griddle is a bonus.
As Joetee says, it fits perfectly and cleans up easily. Sometimes, for me at least, it's better to purchase the exact thing that is designed for the purpose rather than jerry-rig something. Not all the time, I agree. But having used the DnG both with my SnS and on my gasser, I'd say it's a superior product to a pizza pan. The quality of the steel alone is worth the consideration. See David Parrish 's Adrenalin BBQ site if you need any more convincing.
Just sayin'...

If I could find a disposable aluminum pan that fit nicely I would opt for that over my pizza pan idea. When it comes to a grease catcher I want it to be cheap.

I will echo the comments that the Drip n Griddle contributes a lot for the Kettle's steady cooking performance. Just about all the cold fresh air from the bottom vents gets diverted away from the meat and to the coals. As a solid piece of metal, I' m sure it also helps maintain steady temps. Even though it covers the whole area you place the meat, I will still use a foil pan for some cuts. I have not used it as a griddle yet, but the way it improves the cooking, I pretty much consider that feature just a bonus.
The Drip n Griddle cleans well with soap and water and I have used Bar Keepers friend with great success - it will look new.
