1st Cook with Arteflame for the 26

Well, after owning it for 6 weeks I finally put the Arteflame to use.

I thought it would be hotter overall but it cooked up nicely.

Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.

JeffJ if you add more wood sticks in the center it will get hotter.

Can you tell us more about your experience with the Arte Flame? I am really curious about these. I have heard mixed reviews, but I love the idea. It would be a great way to bring people together. I see that with the stand version anyway. It would be really cool to have some wood burning in the middle while your cooking up some burgers and what not.
I do like these but if I were to get on it would be the whole package, stand and all. I really don't care for cooking on kettles. They sit to low for me. (So does the KBQ, but its worth it)
