Weber Kettle-Minor Mod

Even though I have only had my kettle for a short time, after just a few cooks, my vent adjustment had gotten very hard to work. SO.....I drilled out the rivet and replaced it with a 1/4" bolt and a wing nut. Now it's easy to remove and clean.

I do the same except I put a spring also so I can kinda adjust the tension. Great mod.

I like it, especially making it easy to remove and clean (I may be a clean freak)!

Here's what I did to my 22" so I don't have to grab the hot "tab" when adjusting.
