Ya, is more of a big deal for me to get out of the city. I miss the peacefulness of country life. Birds chirping, deer eating horse apple just outside the bedroom window, red dirt roads, every body you pass waves even if you don't know them. Good stuff there. Sure beats the sound of train yards and refinery horns and whistles, with constant traffic as an undertone.

We rolled in my buddy Dee-Wight's 97 S10, 'cause th' Blue Belle's 'bout half-arse fulla hickory, an' I need new sneakers up front,...Great Tread, but sadly, badly weather-cracked...
I also got some spearmint starts I dug up from Dee-Wight n' Carol's yard, which I'm delighted about.

I'm with you guys on the city thing. Made the mistake of relocating a few years back so I could work in our Manhattan office. That didn't last long. So now it's a few weeks in the city spread across every couple of months - when there's a good reason to be there. That's ok. But I like peacefulness. And daily commuting was no fun, even if by ferry.
If you get pulled over by the police and they ask you "where did you get that BBQ and that accessory" don't respond "What's it to you? I bought if off of a phoccer !" Photos of the proud new toys are mandatory.

Have a safe trip. I don't care for cities either. Be careful driving. Every time I go through KC, the roads get confused with detours and construction.
It was a fun day, best I've had fer some time, now!!!
We had a great RoadTrip experience, an' I was introduced to many things I never seen before, 'counta they're all outside of my county.
Exponentially Cooler than that, was having th' privilege of meetin'' one of our esteemed fellow Pit members, with a Bonus!!!
>>>>I even got to meet his Mom, I am very honored by that.<<<<
We were able to talk for a nice while, then everybody go get their stuff done....
They are sweet, friendly Folk, my distinct pleasure to have met ya both!!!
If ya look back some ways, he had a SnS fer sale, an' I hopped on it, quick,like...
Reason I saved that part fer last, is it ain't what th' story about; It's about nice people, not toys...
Inevitably, I will hear th' AR edict: "No Pics? Never happened!" Exactly, Never Happened.
That, right there, is why there are no pics of our great adventure.
Evidence can really louse up an otherwise totally-plausible alibi!
Lastly, an' certainly leastly, I got my very first, Brand Spankin' New Weber 26.75" outta th' RoadTrip.
Pics of that phase of th' day have been Officially Cleared for Public Dissemination...

Yeah, Sorry 'bout th' delay, but this day just gets better n' better...
Been over next door, eatin' steak, brats, n' pasta salad, plus grilled asparagus...
Neighbor folks grilled out on th' gasser, invited me over, 'cause we always cook out together, or share amongst ourselves......
