I just installed a gasket on my Weber kettle grill and I have a question for any of you that may know the answer to it. The instructions say to make sure you don't get the red RTV adhesive on the face of the gasket. Well, I accidentally did that. What is the possible consequence of that?

Your kettle can melt into a molten ball of lava. Haaaaaa. Seriously though I don't think it will harm anything as long as it's only a little. But don't put the lid on it until the rtv completely cures. 24hrs or so. You should be good to go.
