      Thanks JeffJ. Had her cruising around 365 degrees. Got crispy skin and still stayed juicy.

    Looks great. And don't worry you won't have to use those bricks for long.

    Great looking cook Larry. And good luck with your new SNS. I assume your going to breaking that baby in, tonight. No more bricks in the kettle!

      Thx Spinaker. The Fed Ex truck doesn't get here til very late in the day, so will break SNS in tomorrow with a couple of racks of ribs. Have a little something cooking on one of my smokers, that I will post later.

    @Larry047

    What a great introduction into the world of kettle-cooking. It's always fun to witness someone be initiated into the club. It only gets more and more gratifying as you learn the intricacies of your device.

    Fantastic chicken cook and congrats on the SnS. I think my first cook using the SnS was also ribs, but it may have been a butt. The older I get...

    Cool man! You will be happy with the SNS. The first thing I noticed when I got mine, was that If I didn't like it, at least it would double as a BOAT ANCHOR!! The SNS is a tank. That doesn't always come through in the pictures. Happy Cooking, my friend!

      It arrived, Spinaker. Did a test burn last night to burn any oils, etc. off and will be fired up today with a couple of racks of ribs.

    OMG to see a kettle that clean! Just did a 21 pound turkey on my kettle yesterday. That chicken looks wonderful brother! Put a whole turkey on the kettle, you won't be disappointed. Congrats on your success!
