Airfile editing helps keep me offa the streets at night, I should be eligible for a guvmint grant or summat!

I've got some down pretty dang close to real; here's an example:
It's been a long time since I messed with either CFS version ... not even sure it'd run on my system these days. Been on MSFS since version 1 though. Now on FSX and Lockheed's relatively new Prepar3d next-gen version of FSX. It's still not a full-blown combat sim ... although with the new(ish) VRS TacPack it comes close. Been helping out a couple of the mostly military-focused A/C developers for the past few years ... working on projects such as the T-38A, F-15E, F-86F, F-4J and S, F-100D, P-38L, B737-200, JU-87, F-104S, and AV-8B. Haven't personally touched an airfile in ages ... we have people in dark rooms for that these days .

I've pretty much retired from R/W flying ... but the new sims come (almost) close enough to scratch that itch fairly well.

Is that the aft cockpit of an SNJ Texan you're smilin' from?

I just LOVE flying, R/W, or sim!!!
And, obviously I love trying to figure out the math and physics, etc. to make airfiles reflect the real A/C, down to the gnat's arse.
Some,(MANY) A/C, I've got hundreds of hours of research, tuning, tweaking, testing, ad infinitum. Training films. Flight Manuals. Maintenance manuals. Firsthand accounts from multiple sources. PIREPS.testing, testing testing, then, yet still more.

You have a good eye for Warbirds, Sir.
She was, indeed an SNJ,(-6) and I was headed out for an hour of aerobatics instruction. Either of which, by itself, is more than sufficient reason to smile! Especially with Paul Wolski as my instructor!!!

But that particular day, hence the big smile, I was front cockpit! Command Pilot.
I nearly needed a depend, going out and pulling LOTS of 5+~ G geometrics in the beautiful sky!

If I hadda screwed up, and Yard-Darted it, that day... Augered it straight into the ground. It would have taken a team of 5 morticians at least a week to get that smile offa my face! And another week to get the coffin lid closed! Jus' sayin'!

I really need to get my flight video transferred over to digital media; it is on a VHS tape!!!

Seems we have a lot in common! Of the roughly 4000 hours I've logged in the R/W, more than 1000 was in my favorite civilian A/C ever ... a Pitts Special (S-2A). Needless to say, very little of it was right side up. In it, I divided my time between instructing and competing. Unfortunately the Pitts kinda ruined "normal" flying for me ... Cessnas just never felt the same again. Sadly, I never logged any warbird time ... unless you let me count a T-33A and F-106B .
