Status of Weber 26" kettle

The locally owned hardware store is holding an end of season tent sale. The sale includes all models of Weber gas and charcoal grills. They had all models of the 22" kettle but no 26" kettles. I asked if they had any in stock and the person who helped me said Weber is discontinuing the 26" kettle. Does anyone here have good intelligence on this?

The local hardware store had a Weber sale this spring - no sales tax in the final cost.

That was a pretty decent deal and good enough for me to pull the trigger on the 26.
