Our "new" Weber Performer Deluxe for the office

I was browsing FB Marketplace and this grill popped in my feed last week. Listing price $100. Seller was listed about 30 minutes away in Thomasville so I messaged immediately, within an hour of the listing. I told her I'd pay full asking price cash. The day went on and I didn't hear back...until that evening. She said I could have it and we worked out the meeting place. Turned out she lives in my town and literally less than 5 minutes from my office. I picked it up last Friday and got it to the office today. Now I can feed my office fam without having to drag my old 22 from the house. The grill is in excellent condition and the grates are like brand new. Looking to get a cover for it if anyone has ideas. It'll be stored inside but won't look so bizarre in my office lol. Although I do have a WSM 22 in the customer lobby.

I hope you’re smart enough to not use that in your office. 😂😂😂

Great find. Saw one like that in my local FB Marketplace yesterday.

        Score! Nice find!

I'm still trying to talk my company into buying a Meadow Creek trailer. Ha!

I'm seeing a bunch of those for $100 in FB Marketplace. All the listing says they were bought new from some online store and either new in box or used a couple of times. Sounds suspicious to me. A couple of other listing that look legit are asking 400-500 for them.

Those same fake Weber posts are everywhere. They are trying to drive traffic to those sites for whatever nefarious reasons. They use stock or stolen photos and have questionable profiles.

If the seller uses a stock image or what looks like a stolen image, I don't bother contacting the person.

I saw and reported a couple of these maybe an hour ago, before I saw this thread. The first had had me going for a minute.

It adds to the office! Definitely one of the nicest pieces of furniture I’ve ever seen!!!

Just a suggestion but I'm thinking you should get rid of your desk and just use the Weber for a desk. It could work!

So, with the convenience of a grill in your office you will cook more frequently for your team.

I have weird stuff in my house, so looking at a grill in an office looks normal to me. It matches the colors in your office. 🙂

Love it! Reminds me of a place I worked 15-20 years ago, in downtown Huntsville.

We had a Weber Performer we kept in a storage room at the back of the lab area (engineering and optics lab). We conveniently had a back door in our suite that had direct entry onto the top level of the parking deck. On nice Fridays Spring to Fall, we would assign someone to flip burgers and dogs for the company, on the company dime. We would literally cookout on the top of a downtown parking deck, and set up our folding chairs in the shade where it sloped down into the next level of the deck.

Good times! And a nice employee social and bonding experience.

That works for small companies - we had about 2 dozen employees at the time. I think they are up to 50 or more now, so doubt they grill burgers on a 22" Performer for free on Fridays now...

Yeah, our company is a small one and the branch I manage has (6) employees total, including me. They are all female too and everyone gets along great. No drama whatsoever. I've only lost one employee and that's just because she wanted to get into the insurance business. Nobody's quit or gotten fired lol.

Nice looking unit, ya done good.

When I had my business we always had a cooker on site, usually a gasser for convenience sake.
The occasional meals we cooked were great for team morale and bonding.
