    Weber kettle accessories of note

Some folks have noted over the years that they are unhappy with how spindly the original equipment legs on a Weber kettle are. The folks at Spider Grills have developed a solution: Accessories – Spider Grills
I've linked the entire accessory page because they have three particular products aimed at supporting the kettle. In addition to the cart/cradle there is the more well known Venom controller and another new product that increases the size and functionality of the basic kettle. View to your heart's content...

    Nice looking products.

$119 for the cart seems like a good deal until you look deeper and learn that you need to already own, or purchase, the $249 (on sale) temp controller for it to fit properly.😲
I think I'll continue to manage with the kettle constructed as is...

Too bad no cart for the 26". That one really needs it.

Serious question. What is it about the Weber kettle that makes it so different from the knock offs?

Walmart sells a 22.5” ‘kettle’ for $68.00. Even if it only lasted 1 season, seems like a deal.
With a tarp and minor maintenance/cleaning, I’m betting a person could get 2 or 3 seasons, maybe more.
          No good?

I have one that's over 10 years old. I use it moderately. It lives outside year around, but I do have a cover for it.

I have a 2007 Weber Performer Deluxe that is still going strong. I don’t see that happening with a knock off kettle.

I want a Huntsman so bad I can barely resist. This isn't helping, Uncle Bob!

Glad to be of service Steve. If you did step up to the Huntsman you won't regret it.

I hope you noticed it only works if you also have their Venom temp controller?

I love those grates! Those are really cool. The cart is also a great upgrade, that is the only thing I do not like about kettles. Too wobbly, too low.

I am another Weber Performer fan. If I could have only one cooker, it would be a Performer. So versatile. Not much it can't do and do well. And Weber supports with any needed parts, forever. I have one about 25 years old. Replaced a few grates and grills and it keeps on going.

I agree, there is nothing better when it comes to versatility, ease of use and learning curve. Replacemnt parts are every where too. Just an all American Classic! briano52
