extension ring for 26" Weber kettle

does anyone know of an extension ring made for a 26" Weber kettle? I want to raise the lid higher so I can smoke a larger turkey without the breasts hitting the underside of the lid,

The only ones I am aware of are the SmokeEZ (product review on fee page) that went out of business, and one made by Cajun Bandit that stopped making them for the 26in. At this point, you will probably have to try to find a used one. Maybe someone on the FB page for SmokeEZ group is looking to sell one, FB market place, or eBay..

If you can't find one, maybe try spatchcocking the turkey. You may have enough room to do that on a 26" kettle.

I was going to suggest this very thing. Spatchcock is the way to go for a couple reasons.

I was going to suggest buying a rotisserie, but looks like no one makes those for the 26" anymore.

Yet another reason to keep on trucking with my trusty Performer 22" kettle. So many accessories...

So that puts me in the camp of recommending spatchcock. That flattens it out some so it should clear the lid well. My family doesn't really notice a presentation difference for that versus whole, and it cooks so much better. By the time I carve the bird, who cares how it was cooked?

Here is a DIY pizza oven ring for the 22" Weber. If so inclined, make this for your 26" without cutting out the opening. Or cut it and make a door to cover the opening for you turkey cooks.

Not that this will help this year since it won't be available until January, but here is one for the 26in kettle...
