    He'll take $75 for it.

I have a kettle, but mine is a plain old black one, a little beat up, but definitely serviceable. I'm just wondering... these 'limited edition' ones are fairly well thought of, right? The paint/finish holds up on them really well? Like just as well as the originals, or does anyone know?

Had a lady an hour away the other day willing to sell me her red one for $60, but it had a couple of chips in the enamel, and then when I went to set up a time to go pick it up, she decided she wanted $100 for it, and decided to relist it for that. The $60 was what she originally had it listed at, I didn't talk her down or anything, But I wouldn't take it now at the $60 price tag, I hate it when people pull that crap. Hers is still listed, BTW, I hope she chokes on it. lol

I don’t think this is the limited edition you are thinking of, but I could be wrong. $75 seems pretty average for a kettle versus a screaming deal but the heart wants what the heart wants.

In 1952, our founder George Stephen introduced a charcoal kettle grill that started a cooking revolution. This limited-edition Collection celebrates Weber's innovative spirit.

Ahhh yeah, ok so it's not one of the limited edition. But it still looks to be in much nicer shape than my current one. I think I'll probably go grab it tomorrow.

I no longer wonder why you must carry a large handgun.

Several years ago there were a lot of copper Kettles. They were sold in the box stores.

The only thing I'd add is make sure the grates and ash sweep are in good shape, replacement costs for those could take it from a fair deal to overpriced.

Yeah the grates look ok. I will have to check the ash sweep when I see it in person. I replaced the sweep on my existing one this last summer.

I never see decent deals on Weber grills in good condition around here, so I would grab it *IF* you need another kettle. Sounds like it will replace the current one, or supplement it?

I'm the wrong person to ask as I am in anti-MCS mode, and now down to 4 backyard cookers. Not counting my brew stand or any outdoor burners or the Coleman camp stove...

Found this one at a local store before Christmas. Don't know if it sold but good deals are out there...

Great deal even if I didn't need one.

For $75 it’s a nice kettle. You can always gift one to a friend.

So what's the question here? Should you get another kettle? For a reasonable price even? That you can inspect first to make sure it is in decent condition? Forget about MCS for a minute. I think the real question is why the heck wouldn't you?

$75 for a kettle premium is a good deal. On one of the Weber FB groups I'm in, though, folks are reporting that Lowe's has been selling them on clearance for around $65. Might be worth checking out.
