Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.
I lifted the lid on my 26" kettle this morning to clean it and insert my new XL SnS when I notice this metal thing resting on the cooking grate. I look around to see where it came from and it was one of the fasteners that holds the lid handle in place. For some reason it expanded and broke. I call Weber's customer service and told me that they couldn't just send the fastener that I have to purchase the handle and kit for $12.95 which I said ok. She ask me how long have I owned the grill and I told her since last fall so she said she will send me the handle kit free of charge. I told her that I didn't mind paying for it.
good to know. all I own is weber products. i've never had a need to use their customer service (I guess that's a good thing), but good to know they are good to their customers. a very rare thing now a days
When I got my WSM 14.5 the top of the center ring was dented which prevented the lid from fitting. I called customer service and he asked if I could email a picture of the problem. I did and he told me they'd ship a replacement part and that I'd have it in 5-10 business days. I asked him if I needed to send the bad part back and was told no. 3 days later my replacement part arrived.

Weber is outstanding. When my new 22" kettle arrived from FireCraft the bottom bowl was damaged but the box was not so it happened before it was packed. Sent photos and I got a new bottom bowl fairly quickly and everyone I spoke with at Weber was great. They did not want the bowl back, so my son is using it to coil up his garden hose in...a copper bowl nonetheless! He may make it into a yard planter.
LSG Adjustable Grill/Smoker, MAK Pellet Grill, Large BGE with Several Attachments from the Ceramic Grill Store, Weber Genesis E335 Gasser, Cast Iron Pans & Griddle, Grill Grates, Mostly Thermoworks Thermometers, Anova SV Stick, BBQ Guru Controller and Fan
I just ordered a new igniter rod for my 2010 Memphis Pro Pellet Grill. I called them Monday morning and left a message. They called back within a couple hours, took my parts order and gave me a little advice in the installation. Another good BBQ equipment company. There's lots of good people out there!
The customer service at Komodo Kamado is infinitely better than world class. Every time I call, I talk directly to the KK owner! I've never had so much as a single issue with either of my KKs, I just like talking with Dennis Linkletter. He's a great guy and I'm lucky to call him my Friend. He's the reason I bought a KK. He's the reason every KK owner buys a KK.
