On Weber's site, the replacement kit with new 'blades' for the One-Touch Cleaning System is about $35 including shipping and tax.
On Amazon through the Weber store, it's $25, and I'll get it tomorrow.
Another particular one, a generic one, says it is heavier duty, thicker, and it's half that price. Anyone here used one of these 'other' replacements? This is a thin, light-gauge, part that is obviously not meant to last 30 years, so I'm sure many of you have replaced these several times.
Is it worth getting the Weber branded part, or just get a generic replacement, knowing regardless, you're going to replace this every few years?
Or is there an 'upgraded' version out there that actually works better, is more durable and is WORTH the price of upgrading?
I've never had a Weber anything until last year, and I really dig my kettle now, I think I'm gonna keep it - I wouldn't mind upgrading some parts. I've been wanting to get a 26", but they're fewer and farther between, and they are going up in price on the used market.
