Does anybody have any experience with the Cajun Bandit stacker for a Weber 22.5 kettle? Or the Smoke-EZ? If you have experience with the CB stacker, do you use a water pan above the deflector? Thanks!

Bootheel, I have absolutely No Ezperience with The Cajun Bandit Stacker for the Weber 22.5. I do own a Smoke-EZ, but I haven't used it yet.
I am waiting for warmer Wx to Paint it! I have a Green Weber and the Smoke-EZ like my Model T only comes in Black!

I'm looking at the Cajun Bandit for my 22.5" kettle with the optional diffuser plate and charcoal ring. I've compared the two and the Bandit is about $30 cheaper than the Smoke EZ, but it doesn't come with a water bowl, the hanging rack, or handles on the mid section. Those features aren't all that important to me. I've contacted those who've used one or the other and some Smoke Ez users complain that meat on the lower rack can get hot because there's nothing protecting the grate from the fire. If you place the meat directly over the water bowl you'll be ok, but otherwise you might run into some issues. The optional diffuser plate on the Bandit acts like a barrier, although you'll lose your second grate if you need to add a water / drip pan. Part of me is thinking of just spending the extra money on a 22.5" WSM.
