I'd really like to pick of a Weber Performer to replace my Master Touch. I'm just looking for the standard Performer with the fold down table. Lots of other used Performers pop up on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist but not the one with the fold down table. I am a cheap $@&^@#), so I hate the idea of paying full retail price for one. I've been checking Lowes, Home Depot, Ace, Amazon and the Weber site hoping for a Black Friday sale but no luck so far.

Do the Weber Performers ever go on sale?

Weber has a deal with all of their retailers that they can only advertise the retail price. So generally, no, they do not go on sale. However, stores can mark them down as non-advertised clearance items (think end-of-season need to get rid of grills to make way for Christmas lights sales). I scored my Performer for $180 from my local HD that way. The hard part is, since they can't advertise the mark down, you have to physically go into the store to see if it's marked down.

- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I never have seen a Performer for sale at a big box store - if they even have a Performer. I'm talking Lowes and Home Depot. Ace may or may not have one depending on the location.
To be honest, if you go for the Performer with the fold down table, you are missing the true advantages of a sturdy sizable work table as well as charcoal storage, and on the Deluxe, propane ignition. I would not trade my Performer Deluxe (2007 model) for any other format of kettle. I see the occasional Performer Premium and Deluxe for sale used on FB Marketplace, but never the base model. I just don't think many people buy that one.
If you want a Performer "basic", the fact is that the SNS Kettle is not far off. It has 4 legs instead of 3, and has a folding side table. That side table is also available as an accessory for your existing Weber kettle.

IdahoJim yes the 2007 model has the "thermoset" plastic table. Somewhat heat resistant, but can get dirty looking. It can be restored with some elbow grease. Here's a good guide on complete restoration - something I've never done:
Anyone have a Weber with the fiberglass/resin table? You know the grey plastic ones. They came standard on One Touch Platinum’s, gassers, Gen #2 Performers and Weber side tables. If left exposed to the sun, they had a tendency to fade, become real light in color and the finish would become rough. They also are...
Me - I just spray it with a degreasing cleaner like 409 or whatever is in the kitchen, wipe down with paper towels, then put the cover back on the grill.

I have been a fan of the Weber Peformer Deluxe for almost 20 years. The table is very handy and the propane starter is great, especially when you are in a bit of hurry to get cooking. That said, the full size SnS has a small table but a lot of other upgraded kettle features that make it very attractive. I have not cooked on the SnS but the videos available on YouTube sure make it look great.

I did not read all the responses, but something that pushed me this year for my summit kamado, although I did find it on sale, the idea that it will go up in price the longer I wait, the more expensive it will get, that kind of makes today’s price a sale price in the future,Last edited by Richard Chrz; December 1, 2023, 12:56 PM.

No, but this thread is causing me to make a move on a really nice used one for cheap on FB Marketplace.
