Weber Smokey Joe on Doordash for $19.25???

Well, I've never used Doordash. I think my stepson lives off of it. I was searching for Smokey Joe prices and found this:

Does this look legit? The Alberson's web site doesn't have it, but Doordash says it comes from Albertsons. I am confused...

Don't know about Albertsons but my rule of thumb is: if it's too good to be true......

I see outrageous offerings on FB and I stay away.

If it's actually Albertson's (huge grocery conglomerate), it's probably okay, but I don't know how you'd verify that. Maybe sign in through a DoorDash app and see if you can find it.

The first thing I check when I see something like this is the email addy it was sent from.

I checked Door Dash and don’t see it listed, or on Albertson’s through door dash. That said, when I shop at my local Albertsons, they have their seasonal aisle and they have a few grills on display. I don’t remember if they were Weber brand or not.

I bought a car battery on Walmart.com, “free next day delivery”
next day got a text from an uber driver “can you tip? I didn’t know you were so far, this is heavy” 🙄

I mean, car batteries are heavy, but c'mon was he bringing it over in a wheelbarrow?

Someone last week was offering a 26” Weber kettle for $150 on fb marketplace. It was on the other side of town or it would be sitting on my patio by now. I’ve been weary of fb marketplace but my BIL has purchased quite a bit from there.

Panhead John it was on the other side of phoenix in Glendale and we East Siders don’t venture out to the west side unless we take body armor. 😂

I’ve purchased stuff from OfferUp and the old let go app. That’s how I ended up with both the 18” and the 22” WSM. Both were in the east valley though.

synodog We don’t have any neighborhoods like that here in Houston….🙄 Yeah, there’s places here I wouldn’t go even if it was free.

Well, I ordered the grill on Doordash after creating an account. The total was $29.18 including fees and driver tip. Unfortunately the store was out of them. I called them. They were clearancing them out at 75% off but they were all gone. Doordash even sent a "dasher" to pick it up. Oh well. I keep missing out on the clearance sales. I've seen people get great deals at Target too. I checked the closest one to me a while ago and just slim pickings.
