I have a 2010 Weber Performer Deluxe, (with the gas assist for lighting charcoal). I have been having problems with the flame going out repeatedly, but have been able to fix it. However, it's been a continuing problem of clean the orifice and it work's for a while, and then I have to clean it again. I finally bit the bullet and bought the regulator assembly.
I cooked the the Kettle the next day, and, even though it had been acting up again, it worked perfectly. I cooked on the Kettle again , and it worked perfectly.
The part arrived too late Monday, and I was busy all day yesterday. The weather today has been great - short sleeve weather, so I decided to go ahead and install the replacement, and it works as it should.
But I'm thinking the old regulator tried to postpone it's removal by working properly. Didn't work, and I hope I don't have to worry about it for another 10 years.
