    Knock off Kettles

I know, I know!!! You get what you pay for! That said, is/are there any knock-off kettles that are passable for a back-up and the occasional smoked chicken? It would be good if a SnS (and other Weber accessories) will fit in it.

Thanks to anybody willing to make a recommendation.

    Dew,

So glad to see you back! I hear what you said but you can find good used 22" Webers on Craigslist for 40-50 bucks. Sometimes even better. That's really hard to beat. I know I didn't answer your question but just had to throw that out there.

Again, really good to have you back!

Thanks, Jon Solberg. That would work if I can find one.

BTW, it's good to be back.

I had a knock off in my pre Weber days. You don't have to cook on it for them to fall apart, simply moving them will take care of that.

A Weber Kettle is relatively inexpensive. Napoleon makes some good kettles and Char-Broil's new Kettleman is interesting, but they are all in the same price range. Low cost kettles are low cost for a reason. Spend a little more $$ for Weber and you'll have a trusty cooker with legs to run the distance. Go cheap and you'll have a rusty flower pot with no legs.
