Weber settles with the FTC regarding warranty repair work

    source: https://www.reuters.com/legal/litiga...ir-2022-07-07/

Under the ruling, Weber will no longer require consumers to use Weber parts as a condition of remaining under warranty.

This is part of a larger FTC initiative to encourage companies to drop rules that would void a warranty if third party repair shops or parts were utilized.

That's the FTC, Fed Trade Commission, not the FCC, Fed Communications Commission. Wondered why the FCC would have anything to do with grills...

"Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the VP is such a VIP, shouldn't we keep the PC on the QT? 'Cause if it leaks to the VC he could end up MIA, and then we'd all be put on KP."

      Is the MPLA?
      Or is this the UDA?
      Or is this the IRA?
I thought it was the UK!
      Or just some other Country.
      Another council tenancy...

We can’t legally let you put charcoal in that grill until you buy our wheels…

So does this mean if we take the legs off and set it in a table the warranty is still good?

I still have 2 bags...I am holding onto them for god knows why, but I can't bring myself to use them yet.

They were the best briquettes I've used, including blue bag, B&B, JD, and a few others.

I still have the sample box of Weber briquettes they mailed to me!

Weber has not given me any briquets, and I could let that grate on me, but decided to just put a lid on it.....
