I just ran across this accessory. Looks pretty neat.

That’s pretty cool. I don’t do kabobs much but maybe I should rethink that! I have the Only Fire rotisserie kit and I am very happy with it.

Attjack Why the hell did you post this?
It's scheduled to arrive next Tuesday. Along with some starter cubes.

Why do the skewers have squared off tips?

I have another set of flat skewers that were like that. I just ground the corners of them to make a sharper point.

I have some sharp skewers and they can hurt if you're not careful. My 30" skewers could probably go right through your hand.

Interesting. I wonder about how the flat skewers resting on the round holes opposite the handles will work? Seems to me it might be a little clunky and cause some pretty significant wear pretty fast. Maybe Steve B can give us a review when he gets his?

Looks to me like there is a round receiver that freely rotates in the ring like a bearing. I'm not seeing how the parts would wear.

Will do. If you look at the skewers with the wood handles they have a collar on the handle end. Lets see what I get.

Oh did you mean the side with the handles? This is exactly how my Blaze rotisserie works and it's flawless.

Ol' Attjack, just so you know, you got in my knickers again with one of your evil taunts, but I'm not ready to disclose which one yet, just that it's been brewin' for a while.

Steve B Attjack I'm talking about this end in the ring before it gets captured by the motorized part.

Panhead John That would be great if that's the case. I just figured they didn't want the weight of fully loaded kebobs taxing the motor too much.

I think if the skewers make contact there it would tax the motor even more.

Also curious as to what kind of batteries it takes and how long they last.

I was here almost a year, before I learned. Someone here showed me how online. What kind of phone you got? If it’s Apple, I can help you. If it’s Android, someone else here can I’m sure. It’s really a lot easier than it sounds. That is if you want to of course. 👍

The easiest way is to upload your video to YouTube. Then just copy the URL of your video webpage and use the insert video function at AR.com.

Panhead John Yes I have an IPhone.
Attjack I’ve never tried to upload anything to utube. So not sure how that’s done.

It's weird that I can't find this one on the Only Fire website. They have a bunch of other rotisseries. Looks like you can get an electric powered motor too if the battery powered one isn't up to task.

I’m sure glad I just got those hanging rotisserie skewers for my Bronco, otherwise I’d be all over this one.

That's been my experience in the past. They need a new marketing department. They should hire someone like me.

The skewers must be really sharp, it looks like it went through the middle of the bone in the chicken leg that's spinning horizontally.

Attjack Everything is photo shopped to get us to buy their crap. 😁 If they posted what it really looks like nobody would buy it.
It is a shame though. Why can’t things be like it used to be. What you see is what you bought.

I disagree Steve B It's cheaper to pay me to photoshop than it is to pay me to organize a photoshoot.

Not disagreeing with that Attjack What I was trying to say is in the mainstream of things most everything is now photoshopped to make things look better. Is it cheaper to do it that way. Absolutely.

Chuck in Charlotte is right. It looks like the skewered a spatchcoked chicken and a single leg. It's actually creeping me out.
