You have to remember, in Europe not every store sells BBQs. It's limited to BBQ specialist stores and very very few big box stores, like a garden center (which this might be but I can't tell). At least that's how it was when I was a kid in Germany and in the last few years I was in the UK.

Makes perfect sense to me. First day, first lesson, in my German class was introductions and the first German phrase I learned was "Guten Morgen Herr Weber." Even though I now know the full story of Weber I still always think of it as a German brand because of that phrase.

Honestly my local Ace isn't that far off. Even in the off season aka now. They have two full isles dedicated to Weber another with BGE and assorted accessories. in Season it takes up the whole front of the store.

My local Ace is pretty good too and it's a small one. But there are many items I'm aware of they do not carry. I'm also jealous of some of the accessories that I understand are simply not sold outside of Europe.
