22 kettle dimensions

What is the outside dimension of the lower bowl on the 22 inch kettle, specifically from the outside edge to outside edge of the top of the bowl. The reason I am asking is because I am ordering an attachment for a different brand 22 inch kettle that is designed for the weber. The manufacturer of the attachment does not know if it will fit the kettle in question. I went to the local big box to measure the Weber but they were all on the second shelf and I was unable to reach them to measure.

The absolute widest outside measurements of bottom bowl on mine is 22 5/8".

The cooking grate is 21.5 inches if the attachment sets inside of the bowl.
Does it rest on the outside or inside of the kettle?

I don't know, I'm no help. I'll stick with my Traeger Timberline 850. In my old age, I try to avoid confusion and frustration.
