- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I really do not like the tripod design. This is why I hated an old 1997 22" kettle I had - in that case, any attempt to roll it usually resulted in one or more legs coming out of the sockets, and the entire thing falling apart. I used to just pick it up and carry it. I gave it away a couple of years ago to a friend who had the brackets that held the grates in his kettle break lose, and he knew what he was getting, and was just grateful for a new grill, while going through a divorce and raising 3 boys by himself (wife left).
If I ever buy a 26" kettle, I'll be building a cart/table for it.
