I live in the corner house of the neighborhood and you can see over my fence as you drive in, and the number of cookers I have back there is a constant source of embarrassment for her. She is positive that we're known as the House of the Thousand Grills around here. Honestly, I don't think I have that many, and each has a specific use. I have a Weber Genesis II, a Weber Kettle, a Bronco, a Rider (which I'm getting rid of) a recteq RT-700, and their little kettle grill, and a 4 burner Blackstone.

Ha, ha, ha.........we have an underground propane tank in the back yard to run a number of house goodies, and we subscribe to a "keep full" service from a local supplier. Last time the truck dropped by there was a relief driver working it. We got into a good conversation about stuff and he revealed that I'm known as "The Barbeque Guy" around their shop.................probably due to all the equipment. I've had worse nick names, so that one I like...................

Weber Smokey Joe Silver
Smoke Hollow 44 gas smoker
Cheapo Brinkmann charcoal smoker with DIY propane conversion
LOL. You got me thinking - I consider myself a pretty reasonable, self-controlled person. But then I realized my combined total of grills, guns, and guitars... I'm out of control. I'm sure there are folks here with a lot more than me, but, yeah, I'm out of control.Originally posted by DaveD View PostTwo: Weber Spirit w/GrillGrates and the Pit Boss Copperhead 5 pellet smoker. Don't feel hampered at all, haven't run into a situation of "I'd sure like to make X but I don't have the right kind of cooker."
Can't contribute to the guns conversation but if you swap out guitars, then I'm on board
Up to 14 there.

I guess what I am hearing is that if I really need more space for more cookers, I need to buy a second house. Just for storage space as I understand it.

Not JUST for storage. It also gives you the reason I used on my wife when I bought my second pellet burner. As we were driving away from the furniture store when she had just ordered $10,000 of new furniture. Her: "But you already have a smoker, why do you need a second one?" Me: "We already have a couch, why do we need another one?" Her: "Oh, OK."

RecTec 680 w/ smokebox
Blackstone 36” for home
Blackstone 22” for camper
Charbroil 3 burner gasser
Anova
Thermapen Infrared
Counting only outside equipment, I have 6. I have a RT-600 smoker, a gasser, 36" flat top on back deck and a GMG portable smoker and 17" flat top for camper. Recently bought new 22" flat top for camper since I felt the 17" was just a bit too small.

I almost forgot the turkey burners, so 9, ten if I count the fire pit which has a cooking grate, but I've never bothered.

2012 Weber 18.5" kettle

I probably need an offset. And a Caja China. And a Santa Maria pit. And...

Cooking gadgets
Weber Summit Charcoal Grill Center
Weber Summit Platinum D6
Blue Rhino Razor
Dyna-Glo XL Premium Dual Chamber
Camp Chef Somerset IV along with their Artisan Pizza Oven 90
Anova WiFi
Thermometers
Thermapen Mk4 - ThermaQ High Temp Kit - ThermaQ Meathead Kit - ThermaQ WiFi - ThermoWorks IR-GUN-S - ThermoWorks Signals & Billows - ThermoPop -ThermoWorks ProNeedle - ThermoWorks TimeStick Trio x2 - and a Christopher Kimball timer - NO, I do not work for ThermoWorks...I just like their products.
Other useful bits...
KitchenAid 7-qt Pro Line stand mixer
A Black & Decker food processor that I can't seem to murder
A couple of immersion blenders, one a "consumer" model & the other a "high end" Italian thing. Yes, the Italian one is a bit better, but only marginally
Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus 8-qt + accessories like egg-bite & egg holders
All-Clad pots & pans, along with some cast iron...everything from 7" Skookie pans to 8.5qt Dutch ovens
Weber GBS griddle, pizza stone, and wok
Knives range from Mercer to F. Dick to "You spent how much for one knife? One knife?!" LOL
Only counting outdoor devices…
2 gassers - my Weber Summit & whatever model I gave to my parents. LOL It only gets used if I’m there using it.
2 charcoal - WSCGC & a Dyno-Glo that’s lives at a friends house
1 griddle - 4 burner Blue Rhino
1 stove - Camp Chef Somerset IV It’s a shame they stopped making that one. Also have the pizza oven for it.
1 turkey fryer - Couldn’t tell ya the last time I fried a turkey though. O_o Might need to repurpose it into making beer.
I also have access to my father’s Traeger…but it mostly just sits there unused these days. Not sure when even he used it last.
A stick burner would probably cost a fortune to keep fed here in SoCal. Besides, the size of a decent one would be overkill.
Having a Santa Maria Grill would be nice…but it can get a bit breezy here, so I’m leery of anything that doesn’t have a lid.
I don’t really feel the need too have much overlap. I’d feel some of them were just taking up space at some point. But as somebody with 35 guitars, I can certainly understand the obsession. (Surprisingly less overlap there than one might expect.)
