Ok ok, here's a picture of the situation about 2 years ago today! . Three of these have left for the three kids homes since this photo was taken, and the flat top and SNSK have arrived on the since as well. I hope you can see why I cannot choose just one...
But right now, these two are my favorites for sure:
Cooking gadgets
Weber Summit Charcoal Grill Center
Weber Summit Platinum D6
Blue Rhino Razor
Dyna-Glo XL Premium Dual Chamber
Camp Chef Somerset IV along with their Artisan Pizza Oven 90
Anova WiFi
Thermometers
Thermapen Mk4 - ThermaQ High Temp Kit - ThermaQ Meathead Kit - ThermaQ WiFi - ThermoWorks IR-GUN-S - ThermoWorks Signals & Billows - ThermoPop -ThermoWorks ProNeedle - ThermoWorks TimeStick Trio x2 - and a Christopher Kimball timer - NO, I do not work for ThermoWorks...I just like their products.
Other useful bits...
KitchenAid 7-qt Pro Line stand mixer
A Black & Decker food processor that I can't seem to murder
A couple of immersion blenders, one a "consumer" model & the other a "high end" Italian thing. Yes, the Italian one is a bit better, but only marginally
Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus 8-qt + accessories like egg-bite & egg holders
All-Clad pots & pans, along with some cast iron...everything from 7" Skookie pans to 8.5qt Dutch ovens
Weber GBS griddle, pizza stone, and wok
Knives range from Mercer to F. Dick to "You spent how much for one knife? One knife?!" LOL
Too many options...and it would also depend on what I’m looking to do. I CAN put a griddle on my WSCGC or Summit gasser...but I prefer to use my flattop. I CAN smoke in my gasser, as I did fo years, but prefer my Summit charcoal. I CAN fire up the WSCGC for a really quick cook, but often prefer my gasser. And that’s only getting three of the cookers into the mix... So yeah, no fave here.
I have gotten back to my original build this summer. It needed some serious attention and updates. I added some dairy fittings to seal up the ports from the fuel oil and to cover my tube burner port. Installed a thermometer port with a high temp silicone seal and a new beefier hitch to pull it around with my garden tractor. To complete it for this year, refinished the interior and repainted the firebox.
Next will be removal and finishing of the rims, converting the interior to stainless, and renovating the hauling trailer.
