I visited my sister's cabin last weekend and they have the worst gas grill I have ever cooked on. They got it for free from a neighbor who was understandably getting rid of it. So I would like to find them a better grill. What are your thoughts about buying an older model Weber like this Genisis 3 burner?

Grill in excellent condition. No significant rust, corrosion or deterioration. Cover has a few scuff marks, but otherwise pristine. Includes propane tank.

It’s a great grill. Back when I had one, it cranked out tons of good food. It works really well with a rotisserie but is hard to set up for indirect heat.
Retired, living in Western Mass. Enjoy music, cooking and my family.
Current cookers Weber Spirit 3 burner with a full insert griddle added. A 22" Kettle with vortex, SnS and a Smokey Joe. The most recent addition is a Pit Barrel Jr with bird hanger, 4 hooks and cover. ThermoWorks Smoke 2 probe, DOT, 2 ThermoPops and a Thermapen MK4. A Thermoworks RFX Gateway 2 probe meat thermometer.
Looks good. Great price. Even if it needs a bit of TLC, weber parts are easy to come by. My old Silver was rebuilt twice in 13 years. My daughter is using it. Good luck.
I still have that exact same grill for over 23 years. I recently tore it down, cleaned and repainted, redid the woodwork, and replaced worn out parts. That cost me about $250 and a bit of elbow grease, but it runs like a champ. In fact I made lunch on it today. $100 seems like a pretty good deal for such a clean looking unit, go for it. I added GrillGrates to mine and that really amped it up. Oh, and don't forget THE ROTISSERIE
I bought a 2002 Genesis Silver B, just to have fun with it. It was on CL. It wasn't as nice as the one you are looking at.
I rebuilt it and gave it to my son. He loves it and uses it all the time.
All of the innards and the grates can be bought off Amazon from second tier suppliers. Even if you have to replace the burners, flame tamers and grates, you will still have a great grill at a great price.
Search the web for "Weber Forums" and you will find people that rebuild them all the time.

Trying to set it up for tomorrow. Her birthday is coming up. This will be a good gift if it works out. Still trying to get over missing out on the Primo Jr. If I get this for my sis it'll help .
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I think that is a great grill in great shape. For one that clean $100 is a good deal. My 2002 Genesis still works great, and I am saving it for my daughter when she gets married and moves out.
