- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.

There's an electric grill in my garage, I didn't sanction the purchase and even the wife agrees it was a poor purchase decision. The good thing is, it gives me a bit of persuasive power when I decide to add a gas grill of some sort back to the lineup. Not sure why she's intimidated by the pellet cooker or the other gas cooker I have... but I'll be sure to use it to my advantage to get something I want but probably don't need lol. Electrics need to exist for certain safety reasons, but they should never be the primary grill

And nothing to be afraid of with a gasser. Just turn the knob, press the button to light it. My wife thinks its hard too though. Not sure why. The most "grilling" she has ever done is on a Nordic Ware griddle we have that has grill ridges on one side. She drops it over two eyes on the GAS COOKTOP in the kitchen, and grills her zuchinni on it. The grill outside just has one more step than the gas stove in the house (press a ignitor button). I guess she just wants me to sweat over it... haha.

jfmorris the wife dyes her hair, but sometimes I think the dye contains the catalyst for blonde jokes that seeps through the scalp. The big easy I have is... easy. She says it's not the same as a normal grill since you have to bend down to adjust the knob, to her a grill has the temp knobs horizontal. I love her to death, but...

Ah! So its the pellet rig she is intimidated by? Haha, those are like ovens. Set the temp and press GO! Anyway, I am sure you can teach her the ropes with a gas grill. Just get a decent one. Obviously I am partial to Weber and also to GrillGrates since I have them on two Weber gassers now.

Cookers:
Oklahoma Joe Offset (older thick steel version!)
Camp Chef Woodwind
OK Joe Bronco
Weber Genesis
Ooni Karu
Weber Kettle
My goal is to eventually have at least one of every style of cooker….. I have work to do. Lol!
Thermometers:
ThermoWorks Thermapen MK4
ThermoWorks Thermapen ONE
ThermoWorks Thermopop
ThermoWorks RFX
ThermoWorks IRK-2 Infrared
Maverick XR-50
TempSpike Plus
Other Gear:
Megaforce 3000 Meat Grinder
Weston 7-pound sausage stuffer
Jerky Gun for making poppers. (Game changer!)
Amaz-N-Tube
Original SnS with drip n griddle
Weber Chimney
Fuels Used:
Splits/Chunks, whatever I can get. Usually B&B competition. Favorites are Cherry, Apple, Post Oak, and Hickory.
Pellets, Lumberjack.
Charcoal, whatever is on sale. Currently have a bunch of KBB. Will eventually try B&B. Use whatever lump is on sale in my Ooni.
Propane, Blue Rhino.
Rubs:
Usually make my own riff’s on Memphis Dust and BBBR. Also use Meathead’s commercial rubs and occasionally try something new. I like a couple from Tuffy Stone and Kinder’s. After several surgeries, I’m very sensitive to “spicy” stuff, so I need to be careful about heat levels.
