Or are they like their charcoal grills/smokers which never do, at least here in Western NY.
I have an old Amana gasser which is falling apart and I need to replace it. The wheel fell off and almost tipped over when my wife tried to move it in order to trim some bushes.
If there's the possibility of them going on sale a little later in the season, I'll hold off buying until then.
Otherwise I'll head right over to Home Depot and lug one home.
Interest free financing, free shipping, or using some rewards points on a credit card are about the best bet it seems without just getting lucky and being at the right place at the right time.
Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.
A couple years ago they has the 2 burner spirits in one of my local stores. Usually they are an item you can order in. That isn't the target price point for their target demographic.

My understanding is Weber controls the price that vendors can charge for their products (at least the primary lines).
You may occasionally get lucky and find a store that is trying to do an inventory reduction, going out of business, or something like that where you might find something. Some stores may take money off floor models at end of season or something like that. I purchased a Weber Q1000 for 50% the cost and there were some 14 WSMs they had marked down 50% at my local Wal-Mart one year. They were floor models and the last of their inventory on those products. That store was carrying a new Weber Q model at that point.
Just going to be a being in the right place at the right time kind of thing. As Spinaker mentioned you can sometimes find new Webers in box for $100 off or something like that from time to time on Craigs List as well.
I bought my Genesis EP-330 at a local Ace Hardware the week before Memorial Day. They gave a $100 store gift card with the purchase. They also assembled it and delivered it for free. That's about as good of a deal as I've come across. I agree with the Craigslist or Varagesale thing. There's at least 2 or 3 posts every 12 months where someone is selling a Genesis 310 for next to nothing.
You just need to sell your house and get a 15% off moving coupon. Says weber excluded, but HD did honor it for in-stock. If you don't like the color and want to order, full price.
Actually got my first Genesis this way in 1998, then again in 2015.

Thanks, all! I think I'll turn my daughter loose on it. She's a wiz on Craig's List! Failing that, I'll probably just bite the bullet. I'm tired of replacing the gasser every 2-3 years.
thefist, you got 17 years out of your Genesis? Cool!

The Broil King Baron is an awesome grill for 499.00. Plus as retired military, I got 10% off of my purchase at Lowe's! You can get the Baron hot enough to sear without grillgrates. A friend of mine has the Signet, which is the 3 burner grill. And she loves it as well.
Thanks, jgjeske1! The Baron is actually the front-runner at this point in time. The build looks very solid and I think I'm going to give it a try. I just want to put my hands on the Signet before I actually make the purchase. I really don't NEED anything more than the Signet but...

I did go to Home Depot this afternoon to look at a couple of Weber Spirits. Unfortunately, they had a Genesis out too. That thing is built like a tank. But I'm having a hard time justifying $699. With the kids gone, I just don't need anything much beyond a 2-burner Spirit.
I find it is easier to setup 2 zone cooking area with 3 burner... Gives you some more distance from the direct heat. Not to complicate your decision anymore...
Nate Great point. 100% agreement. The GF has a Spirit 2 burner with the burners going east west. Cooked on my buddy's 3 burner with burners going north south. Makes a world of difference. Even if only cooking mostly for two, when you smoke a whole bird or roast the three burner will make it easier.

I'm not sure Weber gassers ever go on sale, per se. That said, I bought a new Genesis EP-330 last year via Amazon Prime ... $100 below msrp... free shipping ... delivered to the front door ... and (back then) no sales tax collected. Pretty sweet deal!
Interesting - I see the S-330 on Amazon for $849 for Prime. I assume sales tax would be added for TX (me) but also Colorado (you). https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custo...?nodeId=468512 ... if there's no sales tax, i might get it on Amazon instead
