Left the gasser on all night

Last night was hectic trying to get out of the house and get the kids to the county fair. Of course I’m not trying to spend $14 on a polish sausage at the fair, so I did some grilled shrimp and poblano quesadillas beforehand. In the chaos though I left the Gensis on until about 9 this morning smh. I scrubbed the GrillGrates down with an onion since it looked like some seasoning might have burned off. I am not looking forward to the next gas bill lol

Won't have to clean those grates any time soon!

The polish sausage may have been cheaper...

Ha, I have done this more than once. of course, it was when I was younger and living with my parents. Pretty sure I had to mow the lawn more than once, free of charge.

I've done this too. I wish there was a way to have a light turn on in my outdoor kitchen when the gas was on. That way I might notice it before I turned in for bed.

I've done this too, but with a propane tank, and come back the next day to an empty tank. Most recently, I somehow left ONE of the 6 burners on my Camp Chef griddle on low heat overnight after cooking and cleaning. Somehow I got busy and didn't cover it up like I usually do that night, and went out to do it the next morning, to find it still burning. What had been a nearly full tank was a nearly empty one.

A i have had Grandkids turn the burners on unlit and uncovered only to find the butane tank empty when I went to use it.

I hate when that happens...done that with a new 30lb tank.

Happened a lot over the years. Should not have to worry about any bacteria

One of the things I like about my Napoleon is that the burner handles have idiot lights that come on when the burner is turned on. Of course, that means I really shouldn't have left a burner on that one time.

I wish there was a light that would turn on in my head. But, then again, that would be fer even more for other things including burners left on.

I'd need different colored lights - like those tabs for notebooks.

I am kinda surprised this is the first time I have seen someone mention this in 3.5 years. Haha.

Attjack well, there’s a FAIL thread so there is a certain appeal.

That is why i cover our gasser every time after i am done cooking. It is easy to do, especially if you turn the heat up to burn away any grease from a cook. My wife double checks me usually.
