A repairman installed a new motor under warranty…and it works fine now. He had to disassemble the whole grill…it was not designed for that motor to be accessible or replaced. And…like you said, less is sometimes better. If I could do it over again, I’d just get a grill with an external motor. But at least it is fixed. Just fyi…see my post regarding Rotisserie cooking with the lid open…on my XLBig Green Egg. Both duck and chicken came out fantastic.

Andrew, I am glad your TE rotisserie story had a happy ending after all that trouble. I took apart my TE grill for a deep cleaning after four years. I watched a couple of videos on the TE website which helped. The grill came out sparkling like new. Not an easy job but I am handy with tools. I love the infrared sear burner. Best gas grill I ever cooked on. I think it will enjoy a nice long life in my outdoor kitchen. The beautiful stainless steel is thick and very sturdy.
