So we recently fell a ton of big leaf maple from my fathers property in the PNW.
This might be a dumb question but can I smoke with this maple? obviously I would have to chunk it up to use it in my Kamado. I usually just burn it in my fire pit but I don’t want to be wasteful!
Yes, I use maple all the time.
My brother just downed a Cherry tree, took the limbs and cut them into hockey puck sized disc's for my smoker.
Letting them season over the winter for use in the spring.
Thanks guys! This will mostly be firewood. But I figured I could definitely use some chunks for smoking! There’s too many kinds of maple so I just wasn’t sure!
