    Orchard Peach wood?

Just scored what I think is peach wood from a local orchard here in the Catoctin Mountains. Great people! I shop at their orchard every week they are open. Their peaches are awesome!

It looks beautiful and all peachy but I've never seen it before.

    What does the pit think?

Looks good. I get peach wood from fruita wood. I just like the idea of it, I really can't tell the difference from apple wood.

Good score and the orchards around Thurmont sure do grow some tasty peaches and apples so I’m jealous of that you can get them too.πŸ™‚

Mudkat Down by Ocean City now but lived in Hagerstown. Worked several summers at Catoctin Mountain national park. Met my wife for the first time in Thurmont during the fireman’s parade. Lots of good memories.πŸ™‚

Congrats. How long has it been cut? Ya need to let it dry some before using.

I think it was cut this pruning year like February or March. But yes I'll put it in the shed until next season. I may burn some of the older pieces just to get a whiff.

That is some nice peach. Agree let it dry to next year.

Score! Cut it, split it and stack it. You should be good to go in about 6 months.

Peach is one of the most unique woods I think, it smells like incense to me. Nice score!

That does sound good. I may grill some peaches with it. It'd be like putting instant coffee in the microwave sort of. πŸ˜€
