    Early Morning Wood

My Box from Fruita Wood & BBQ got here this morning. (apparently to early to ring the door bell opened the door and there was the box?) In the darkened area by my entry way I didn't notice the names of the wood stamped on the box top. Good thing they do that because I got all 3 guesses wrong (on what type of wood they were) I guessed the Cherry was pecan, The Pecan was the post oak and the The post oak was the cherry. Then I moved the box into the light and noticed the stamps!! Perfect timing I have 3 Racks of Ribs I'm gonna do and I'm gonna use the Cherry wood!! Click image for larger version

Cherry is hands down my favorite. I only mix in in some oak and hickory splits to help keep the temp up since they burn a little hotter. I've been using some persimmon chunks in the Weber kettle, and it is moving rapidly up my list of favorites.
