Found a new wood guy recently. Asked him for some small mixed red and white oak to cook briskets this weekend. He had to split some smaller for me and he texted me this morning and said he had it ready so I went to pick it up. Instead of cash he asked if he could have half one of the briskets I’m making for this whole pile! Felt bad so I am doing a butt for him too. Hopefully he’ll tell all his friends and I can get a side hustle going again like I used when I lived up north.
