To much time on my hands

Getting ready for my Santa Maria grill. Being an old gimp that is limited physically I ordered some wood splits from Fruita Wood a few days ago (12-21).
They emailed me 12-22 that the order had shipped FedEx. Looking on FedEx website it said it was in rand Junction CO and expected delivery Dec 25th (ya right). Today, still Grand Junction and still to be delivered today in California.

Yeah, FedEx is really slipping here lately. I know 'tis the season, but they always seemed to come through until recently.

Presumably the massive storm that swept the continent these past few days has something to do with delivery slowdowns...

I... you're not really complaining about delivery time in the middle of a) a huge fraking storm and b) over Christmas, are you?

No, I understand the delay completely. Just an observation on the overly optimistic delivery dates they show. Delivery on Christmas?

Grand Junction and Pueblo CO are Fedex black holes……don’t ask me how I know…..😂

The last thing I got from FedEx was updated for earlier delivery on Thursday, then on Friday and finally arrived on Saturday. I wasn’t happy waiting for it on Thursday and Friday with no deliver. The only plus was that it stilled arrived before the original date.
