    Coal Sifter…

Many years ago, I built a coal sifter… it’s a simple piece made from scrap…
I should have made one for the pit too…
It’s basically a small shovel made from expanded metal…
A bump or three drops all the ashes and leaves the coals in the scoop…
Here, it’s used as much or more than any other fire tool… and is perfect for gathering fire coals for Dutch Oven cooking…
    Just a suggestion…

You really should market it. There isn't one currently that is commercially available.

Nice idea you should market before someone else does

Get a patent on it, then head for Shark Tank. 😎

Redneck engineering at its best. Ever seen some of the home brew log splitters on the interwebs?

I am not up to date on my home brew splitters…. As I have one of my own…

I began building it in 1977 and finished gathering the materials and assembly within a year…

I rambled through many scrap heaps to accomplish that task…

The hoses must be replaced but they deserve retirement for splitting an amazing amount of firewood and shingles over the decades…

I thought about marketing it, as a YouTube video would sell it…
maybe have a couple sizes… but there’s so much else to do, like building bee boxes, deer stands, cutting firewood, fishing and front porch rocking…
                    There just wasn’t enough time…

I know what you mean with the trouble of marketing a great idea, I am empathetic and agree it's not for everyone. But, great idea!
