My 7-11 on the corner has a decent price, but if I'm willing to drive, Menards is the best price locally... for exchanges...

I work at a LP company so I’m pretty close to get a refill. I’m a horrible Hank Hill though since I don’t have a gas grill…

            Canadian tire $15 for a 20 refill.
Exchange tanks are $35 plus depending where you go

I don't. Bulk install to my underground 500 gal. tank. I know, you need propane as a source to do this. Haven't had to go to Tractor Supply now going on 3 years. And being an old fart with shoulder issues, lugging the filled tank up the deck stairs and hooking up became a challenge. If I ran out, I have an issue with my propane supplier as it's auto delivery.

I read somewhere that most of the tank exchange kiosks don’t fill the tanks to capacity. Now I go to Ace Hardware for refills… their price usually beats the price at the Sam’s Club kiosk that I used to go to.

Yeah, depending on the company they fill to either 15 or 17 pounds. This, of course, is done for the consumer's benefit.

I found a U-Haul location that fills and charges by the pound.

Up here, British Empire Fuels. They charge by the pound so you only pay for what they add to the tank.

Walmart has the cheapest refills around. $15 for an exchange. Usually I go to a local welding supply store and have them refill my tanks. Not any cheaper, but I’d rather put my money in a local store.

My local U-Haul that caters to RV's has a propane refill station. As mentioned above, they will fill 'er all the way up when compared to the exchanges that are less than full. Plus I prefer to know how my tank has been treated, I don't want to give it away.

I've never paid more than $12 to refill by tank.

Local place called Wasatch Propane. Refills are about 2/3 the price of an exchange and I only pay for the amount dispensed.

U-Haul is where I go to. Only pay for what you get and nothing more. I never run out any more.
