When I first saw the Ace flyer yesterday I looked at Walmart and the price was way more than the Ace pre-sale price. I just looked at Walmart and it is $9.97.

Also, none of the Academy stores near me had any in stock or for delivery and today they have them at the usual $11.99.

Seems like the price of this charcoal fluctuates alot.

At ACE $12.99 here, down from $17. Kingsford Orig blue $11.99. I do not use Lump.
I understand Costco has some great deals, I just do not have the numbers.
Walmart has Royal Oak for 70 cents a pound. Not sure the bag sizes.
Kingsford Orig blue 68.3 cents a pound. Looks like 16 lb bags.
Cowboy Briqs 40lb bag 44.8 cents lb ($17.92)

I got that deal yesterday. My birthday is on July 7 and I just checked my app and I don’t see a coupon for my birthday

I was just there yesterday and stumbled upon this

I may go back for some more, especially if I find a coupon. The only thing I found was $20 off $100, 5 off of 30. I spent that yesterday on the below, but I guess I didn’t clip it. Why it doesn’t automatically apply I have no idea

I got there in time to get 5 if the last 8 bags they had on the shelves. The young lady i talked to said they might have had more in the back; I'll probably check back tomorrow morning. Might as well stock up; it will last until next year more than likely.

At my Ace, I looked all over for the B&B. Asked a manager, she told me they did not have any in the back.

I gave up. Was walking out the door and saw a display that had 6 bags. I got five of them. I feel fortunate.

Well, I've been to the two Ace stores within a 15 minute drive from my house today and come up with 3 bags so far.

I realized this morning there is another Ace in Hodgenville, about 20 minutes south of me. There I hit the motherlode and took home 5 more, for a total of 8 for <$60 net of tax and a $10 reward I had forgotten about. I'm good for at least the rest of this year. 😃

I learned yesterday that you can't go by what the App / Website says is in stock. I will post my experiences tomorrow when I am done buying...

Didn't work for me, either. Local stores it was still $16.99 when I checked on the website several times.

It's for in-store purchases only, I believe. If you're a rewards member you just give them your phone number at checkout. If all else fails, playing dumb will get you a long way sometimes if you talk really nicely to the right person. 😉

I think I just bought 4 more bags. Another Ace on line, said they had 4 in stock. So I bought them on-line and waited for an email to tell me the order was ready. It did not come. They've updated my order to " ship to store " and I pick up next Thursday. But still at the $8 per bag price.

Well, I just made an online order and the $7.99 price was honored. I can pick them up Thursday. So $43.50 out the door for 5.

Once I saw thew add last week I checked the stock online at my local Ace and it showed over 30 items in stock. Friday morning before the store even opened I went online and ordered 5 bags to be picked up in store. At 7am, when the store opened, I got an email that said my order was ready for pick-up.

I showed up around 9:30 and was told the order wasn't ready. The delivery truck was late showing up and they hadn't finished processing the delivery and to come back around 2pm.

I ran a few errands while I was in town and went back by the store around 11am and it still wasn't ready. So I bought two of the four bags they had on display.

I went back at two and got the 5 bags I ordered and they had plenty on display at that point.

So if they did had almost none in-stock why did the website say there were over 30 in-stock and why did I get an email that my order was ready for pickup 7 hours before it was ready.

Went back this morning and got 5 more bags - Total for the weekend 12 bags, plus I have 4 bags of the B&B orange bag. That should hold me for a while.

Yeah, one of the locations we went to yesterday said they had 9. Clerk found zero in the back and we even scoured the upper shelf back stock. Nothing. But I’m happy that I will get mine on Thursday.

I got three bags at $8.00 each; with what I already have on hand, they'll last me a good while. Dean Fearing's backyard BBQ chicken is coming up soon.
