I've not tried Royal Oak lump, but did try their briquettes a few times, when in search of economical fuel, and when I was into timing my burn times per load in the SNS on my kettle. Royal Oak briquettes were small and kinda busted up too. And they burned super fast, only giving me 4-5 hours per load in the SNS, versus 7-8 for KBB and 10-12 for Weber briquettes. These days I use B&B briquettes on my kettle, mostly because they are up around 8-10 hours for a load in the SNS on the kettle, burning longer and cleaner than KBB.

- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
