Nothing fancy but dang it was good! Fried poke chops, cabbage and a little corn on the cob. Thanks to gboss post the other day, I decided to cut a half pork loin into pork chops. For some reason doing that never crossed my mind. 🤷♂️ Talk about economical! A whole pork loin is always too much for me so this was the perfect solution. This is waay cheaper than buying them already cut up in the package. Did I mention I like pepper?

T-Bone Steak with Whiskey Pepper Butter
Seasoned steak and let come to room temp while the coals were lit and the grill came to temp. Seared a couple minutes on both sides then moved indirect until it reached 125°F internal. Let rest for 8-10 minutes on some Whiskey Pepper butter before slicing. Delicious along with a sip of bourbon! 🥃

All our children came home after college for a short time while they got oriented in the job market. Our last child has now moved up to Portland and the wife and I are true empty nesters
. I always liked kids around the house.
So now I'm just cooking for two and below is a nice, little pot roast made in a 2 qt Dutch oven. Bought the DO 20 years ago and it has always just been used for making appetizers. It has a new life
