We have a second home in a high rise in Galveston. Open flame is prohibited. It came equipped with this guy: www.electri-chef.com. Any thoughts on how to maximize the experience would be appreciated. At our "first home," I have a Gator Pit Smoking Gator, a Weber Kettle, and a Saber 500. So the Electri-Chef is really a foreign instrument to me. Thanks in advance.
Obviously your primary residence is much better equipped. Most people who own electrics do so out of necessity, as is your case with the open flame prohibition. Think of it as an outdoor electric oven. If you have a griddle, use that to sear shrimp and steaks. That looks like a really nice, high quality model.
