    Entering a comp isn't something I'm particularly interested in, but I have been interested in attending one as a "spectator". This one isn't too far from me so maybe this is my opportunity.

      Cross Post...First Competition Chicken practice. They came out really good, maybe a few minor tweaks going forward. Cooked on the PBC, will likely use the PBX for ribs...

      I will agree with others, trimming comp chicken sucks. I definitely need to work on the trimming.​

        You aren't kidding! I can't imagine how many thighs I'd have to do to get good at it, and that's just the trimming part!
        What's crazy is when I'd talk to competitors and find out they buy 70+ thighs just to find 12 that are comp worthy, and only 6 of those will make the cut.
