Just curious.....You have 4 ribs, 6 chickens, and 8 slices of brisket. How many judges are there?

You need at least 6 pieces in each box, there are six judges at each table, so each judge has to have his/her own piece of protein to taste and judge. She has 8 ribs in her box, four on top and 4 on bottom. It's OK to put more than 6 if it fits in the turn in box and still looks good.

From 5 am until judging is nearly ten hours...and then there is clean up time. That is a long day!

Actual start was 3 am. Awards at 2:30 pm, hit the road to go home at 3, home at 6:45. Then I have to unhook the cooker, plug in the van. Dealt with meat yesterday. I'll clean the pit at the carwash tonight maybe and then the van needs some TLC too. It never ends. I have great admiration for teams that do this every weekend!
