Butchman I got it for $495 - single mom - didn’t want to haggle. It is lightly used and in very good condition. Just brought it home today... I am very happy!
I have a Big Joe and my wife loves it! I have been the king of cooking around here. Pizza (added a grill extension to get high in the dome), ribs, steak (reverse seared), bought a wok for it and love the stir fry, grilled lobster, etc... You will have a good time with it. One thing, if it is the older spring hinge (not a newer piston lift mechanism) a wind from the wrong direction can lower the top and crack the ceramic. KJ was very good and replaced mine when that happened but just be careful. Have fun and post some pics of your cooks!
Thank you SMO for the info! That hinge was the one thing we noticed that was a huge improvement on the newer models. I will make sure to take care. Will definitely post pics!
