Got a buddy that I do depredation with that uses one. Super sweet gun. Those things eat any ammo you throw at it. Me, I'm a bit old school. It's a howa 1500 action, with a hart bull barrel (1 in 7 twist) wearing custom Boyd's thumb hole laminate furniture .22-250 Ackley Improved.

I remember several years ago our old friend EDF talking about how many BGE he had built with parts he had warrantied. I believe the number was 3. Keep your eye out for someone who has warrantied the base. I have an extra base but it’s a kamado joe classic. The guys who repaired our fire place gave me a tube of super high temp chalk by Rutland. It fixes cracked kamados like a dream. You could well get through this for almost nothing.
