Huge Price Drop on Amazon this morning

I just purchased the PK Grill (original in graphite) from Amazon. The price was $379 when I added it to my wish list. This morning it is $256. That was WAY too good of a price to pass up.
If you are looking for a PK in the rolling cart, this might be the best time to buy.

I have no idea. I just wanted to complete the transaction before they realized they made a mistake and raised the price.

The "Style" is noted as Standard. The other choice, "with Stainless Steel Grid", drives the price up.

Is the "Grid" what I think of as the grate? If so, what is the standard grate made of?

Standard is coated steel. You can always upgrade or replace later if you need to.

Cooks the same food. I just seem to enjoy it more. Maybe because it’s a rectangle. Maybe because of the vent locations. I’m not really sure.

Thats the fun thing. I can do side by side and convince myself one is better than the other for reasons exactly like i like rectangles, lol.

I do 90% of my grilling on my Webers but I do love firing up my old PK. I use it a lot for direct grilling since the coals are a bit closer to the cooking surface than the Weber. Stuff like boneless, skinless thighs, burgers, thinner steaks, etc. It is a fun thing to cook on.

That’s what solid stainless costs, apparently. The price above adds on a stainless coal grate as well, which is probably not as important.

I ordered a GrillGrate direct from the manufacturer that is sized for the PK Original. Should be here by the end of the week.
