That grate level thermometer is dead on with my probes at the grate . So much so that I’ve installed tel tru thermos at grate level on all my cookers (PBC, kettles, gasser).
Why pk is the only one to locate the thermo in the right place...

That's a Tel-Tru thermometer mounted just above grate level. Not a cheapo or poorly positioned like others.

As polarbear stated, the grade level thermometer is dead on with probes at grate level. Was surprised the first time.
