The beautiful thing about Weber kettles is all of the accessories that are available for them. I have the Weber Gourmet BBQ system for my Performer. The center of the grate pops out and I have a cast iron wok and griddle that drop into the hole. I also have a rotisserie ring for the Performer as well as the Kettle Pizza accessory. I have the Arteflame for the 26.
If you got the Performer, you could get the Arteflame for your older kettle and use it exclusively for that application. I think DWCowles uses his 26 as an Arteflame only cooker.
DWCowles that arteflame insert for the kettle looks interesting, and a lot cheaper than an actual Arteflame grill. Do you have the insert for the middle, or just cook around the edge?
You may want to take a look at the Hastybake Legacy model. It’s about the same price as the 360 and has a lot more capacity. It gets great reviews both as a smoker and a grill.
Thanks everyone! After thinking about it for awhile and watching some videos, I think I'm going to go with the PK 360. Just love everything about it and I think the capacity will be ample for my needs (plus I'll keep my 22" kettle around, that arteflame looks interesting!). Once I get it up and running I'll post some pictures of the first cook
Currently a snow storm here in Philadelphia, but looking forward to getting the PK up and running for this Spring!
